Nour and Houssam – Wedding Elopement in Venice, Italy
In June I had the pleasure to do a YOU-Session with Nour and Houssam and I am happy to publish the photos finally… I’m a little late in publishing my this year weddings ;-)
Anyway, it has been a beautiful summer day in Venice and we all had a lot of fun together. Nour and Houssam are living in Saudi Arabia and have taken a month to travel through Europe. Of course, Venice was perfect for our YOU-Session, although we have also included Rome and Florence in our considerations.
We started at the hotel Ca’Sagredo (http://www.casagredohotel.com/) and walked through the streets of Venice then. An obligatory gondola ride was in the program of course, too :-)
Wikipedia: The gondola is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian lagoon. For centuries gondolas were the chief means of transportation and most common watercraft within Venice. In modern times the iconic boats still have a role in public transport in the city, serving as traghetti (ferries) over the Grand Canal. They are also used in special regattas (rowing races) held amongst gondoliers. The gondola is propelled like punting, except an oar is used instead of a pole. Their primary role today, however, is to carry tourists on rides at fixed rates.
